Dinner with second secretary, HC of Brunei


On Wednesday the 27th of April 2011, Ms. Idariani Damit, Second Secretary, High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Australia paid a visit to Sydney to meet with some BASS members. The rendezvous, at It's time for Thai restaurant at Kingsford, was held to update the latest BASS members' list with 12 members attending the dinner. A special thank you to Ms. Idariani for her visit.

BASS Easter Holiday Road Trip

Assalamualaikum and ni hao peeps, :D

Anyone up for a road trip this Easter break? We’re planning a 2 days trip to Hunter Valley and Port Stephens which is located north of Sydney. The purpose of this trip is to relax, sightseeing, enjoy the view at these two locations and explore new places. We would also be stopping at some suburbs in Sydney such as Bankstown, Lakemba and Homebush.

Hunter Valley (mostly sightseeing):

  • Valleys, mountains and vineyards
  • Famous for its award-winning wines and historic towns

Port Stephens (Dolphin watching/Sea Cruise/Sand-boarding):

  • Famous with nature, aquatic and land activities
  • Sand boarding and sand dunes
  • Unspoilt national park.. scenary, good for camwhoring (e.g chee hwa:p)

As of now, we have prepared 2 plans for this road trip. For Plan A, we would be going back to Sydney after visiting Hunter Valley and travel back up north to Port Stephens the next day. For Plan B, we would stay over in Newcastle after the trip to Hunter Valley and go to Port Stephens the next day. For those people that are interested in this trip, let us know which of these plans are preferred.

Date: 23-24th April 2011 or 24-25th April 2011 (other dates can be suggested as well). Final decision on date will be on 11.59 pm, Thursday,14th April 2011. Majority wins mates!

Budget:

Plan A: around $200

Plan B: around $230

Daylight saving ends today
