Beraya di Canberra

Assalamualaikum.

34 students from Sydney made a two-day visit to Canberra to celebrate Raya at the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam on the second day of Eid (9th August 2013).

The officers of High Comm welcomed us with their wide smiles n friendly greetings although we arrived quite late on that day. Most importantly, we got the chance to eat all the yummy Brunei delicacies served at the open house. Teehee.

Thank you to the people in High Comm, especially Tuan Yang Terutama Haji Zakaria for inviting and welcoming us. We truly appreciate their hospitality in accommodating us in their houses on our brief stay.

We truly had a good time. Alhamdulillah. Canberra again, being itself, never fails to amaze.

Till next raya, insya Allah.

Special credits to Tuan Abdul Pakar for the pictures.

Selamat Hari Raya

Assalamulaikum.

It was announced via an email from Islamic Society of UNSW (ISOC) that Eid in Sydney would fall on Thursday, 8th August 2013.

In conjuction with that, BASS organised a get-together event for Takbir Raya, held on the eve of Eid.

To some, this year marked their second time celebrating Eid away from their loved ones in Brunei. To some other, this year would be their third. Nevertheless, we could still be in celebratory Eid mood for we had the BASS family to enjoy Eid with. (No green packets of course, but it's alroightt). Alhamdulillah.

May we, in the eyes of Allah, be viewed victorious on the day of Eid, having (hopefully) accomplished our aims in Ramadhan. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, which means, may Allah accept from us all. Aamiin.

Hope everyone had a joyous n blessed Raya!
Ciao.
