BASSBOX New Look

Hello Hi! As you've noticed, BASSBOX has undergone a new graphic overhaul. I've configured it under bloggers new template editor as opposed to the former manual HTML codings. This is to make it easier for the new admins to take over and modify it in the future. So new admins, YOU GUYS HAVE NO MORE EXCUSES TO NOT UPDATE THIS SITE! =)

I think I've fulfilled my duties of the IT admin for the past few years, don't you think so? Heheh, may this community never die and may it continue to prosper and thrive for many years to come. Please do comment on what else you'd like to be made available on this BASSBOX page either by clicking comment below or at the shoutbox. Also, feel free to use the new BASS logo below as you please. *hint* we haven't had a new BASS community shirt in a long LOOOOONG time! *end-hint*

BASSBOX updates

Greeting everyone, thanks especially to Sydney's wonderfully fast internet speeds, I was able to do some major upgrades on BASSBOX. Back home, I'd lose interest after waiting 10 minutes just for Yahoo to load up. heheh anyways, the first thing you'll see is that big calender at the top of the page. There are still some bugs, but you guys can post any events on the calender by clicking the Add Event button. I recommend not clicking the dates on the calender because it'll bring up another page which looks alittle glitchy. You can press the arrows to see events for upcoming months.

Another update to your right is the Islamic Calender and Prayer times for Sydney Area. NO EXCUSES NOW, BWAHAHAHAH. To Bruneian Muslims who havent got it yet, I recommend downloading the Athan Software from http://www.islamicfinder.org/, to get prayer times directly to your laptop or computer. The link for the software is located under the prayer times.

The last update are the BASSBOX Quicklinks. Makes access to specific posts of a particular category easier. It isn't fully complete, as I havent put all the posts in the BASSBOX database in their particular categories, so be patient. Going through a database of over 150 posts, one by one, is a reeaally time-consuming task. Other than that, thats basically it for the updates. If you find any glitches, bugs, broken links or suggestion, leave a message on the shoutbox or click me on MSN.

Welcoming 2008

Hey you all, it's new years eve, and in the spirit of the new year, BASS BOX has been updated with a new festive banner above. A lot of people are on leave on this day, unfortunately I'm not one of them, so to those reading this in the warm comforts of your home, please stayed tuned for a special new years post tomorrow - "remembering 2007" covering the many BASS highlights of 2007 which includes paintball and failed terrorist plots. Seasons greetings to all and hope you all have a wonderful new year.

MARKS AND IDEAS

UNSW SEMESTER TWO RESULTS ARE OUT!

Hey you guys, not much updates recently, sorry bout that. Anyways, to all UNSW students, the marks are in, SO GO CHECK YOUR UNIMAIL. I passed, syukur alhamdullillah. Good or bad, the point is we tried and yeah, KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Congrats to those who passed and got good grades and good luck to those still waiting.

IDEAS

With everyone back in Brunei, this website seems to go a little too quiet for my tastes, so I've been trying to think of a few ways to livin it up. I was thinking of weekly polls or contests, with bass related prizes. hahah, we need a budget for that though. Also, what type of news do you guys want posted up here. And to those who have a knack of writing, maybe we can put weekly articles up for living tips in sydney, but all this requires massive feedback from you guys. So what do you think and if you have any suggestion, we're all ears!

Changes!

As of November 23rd, Hadee Yusfadillah will be appointed new admin of bass-box. He's got the option of appointing a co-admin for this site, up to him. Hadee has shown me a bright vision for bass box website and i spare no hesitation in picking him as the new admin. Any objections are welcomed and will be funneled back into your ass.

Aside from designing, Hadee also enjoys harassing sea gulls

Hadee, check your blogspot dashboard.. those admin previleges should be kicking in soon. and congratulations!

Theres also a need for positions on Funding officer and as well as Treasurer for bass (with a lot more positions to come.. in which it will form the skeleton for a main committee). I'll discuss the scope of responsibility with the seniors and offer those positions to anyone soon!

The logo you all picked is HADEE BASS LOGO E with 46% of the votes followed closely in second place by AIRUL BASS LOGO A with 36% of the votes. Thank you all for for voting and taking part. The logo has already been submitted for the BruOZ games in it's final version shown below:

My Submission

Hi guys i did some mod of what hadee has posted up along with a new logo, but my design has less testosterones =P

Logo A - Just did it tonight, Koala Logo. Inspired by WWF logo. I love it. The advantage of this logo compared with the roo version is that this would be very ideal to be put on polo shirts etc.

Logo B - Kangaroo Logo with Red Stripes 50% less testosterones

Logo C - Roo Logo Simple. Minimalist, Contemporary. My fav. of the Roo Versions.

Logo D - Roo Logo Red Outline. Lazy. I hate it.

GREETING TO ALL BASS-READERS!

BASS, thanks to all of you, is growing larger every year and is soon to establish itself as proper registered society in the upcoming months. To commemorate this coming of age, we have to decided to first of all, get a proper BASS LOGO. This BASS logo's purpose is to symbolize our wonderful society and spirit. We welcome all Bruneians Around Sydney as well as all BASS readers to join in to help create this new BASS LOGO. So far, we have a few prototype logos below, and we need your opinions and CONSTRUCTIVE critism. Don't hesistate to comment or give your own ideas to what the ideal BASS logo would be.
