SPE Event!
Dear All,
SPE-UNSW will be having a SPE Ambassador Lecture Presentation this coming Thursday the 15th. The lecture will be given by David Edge.
David is a fellow Petroleum Engineer who hails from Adelaide. He works in Halliburton as a completions engineer. His work experiences has taken him all over Australia and his training hopped him all over the world.
There will also be a BBQ which will be held immediately after the talk. This BBQ is FREE, if you are an SPE member. You can sign up or renew your membership on the day and event itself, which, thanks to Halliburton Energy, is free as well.
The food will be Halal and you can be assure of that as i, myself, am the one who orders it directly from TJ Muamallah. For Victor, Caleb and Nick, we have ordered enough alcohol to kill a farmful of animals, just for you.
As a Senior, i strongly urge everyone to join in the event. Not just for the free lunch but a chance to mingle around between all levels of undergraduates and postgraduates.
What: SPE Presentation & BBQ
When: Thursday 15th May 2007 @ 12pm. Finishes at 2pm.
Where: Meet up @ foyer of Mechanical Eng. Bldg then BBQ at Gate 2.
Regards,
Airul Hafneh
Le Secretaire
Société des ingénieurs de pétrole
PS. Membership to Society of Petroleum Engineers is NOT limited to Petroleum Engineering Students only. We encourage students of other engineering, sciences and geosciences discipline to join in. It's still free, you get free access to technical papers and get discounts on events. If you are residing in Brisbane or Canberra, please contact me and we'll see what we can do.

Mardi Gras '07
We were too lazy to give the new students an orientation to Sydney.
So we chucked them to Sydney's (if not the world's) biggest and ultra-gayest party of the year.
The juniors (and a postgrad), when they were robbed of their innocence.
Notice Asqa (red shirt), with a "Holy Shit!" look. Fuzzy, elated.

Many thanks to Bish for her pictures from Ringo!
