Then there was four

The match between DRM Sydney and AKA kicked off at 6.24pm this evening in the Multi-purpose hall of UNSW's Unigym. Starting line-up was Fadhli, Majdi, Sulhi, Asqa and super-goalie, Yazid. Also, it was nice to see Faiq back to play. Overall, it was a intense match, the referee's decisions were sometimes questionable and it had DRM Sydney's loyal supporters on the edge of... erm... the floor. Anyways, it was like déja-vu when reliable striker, Fadhli who played with signature denim shorts scored the first goal in the third minute. He satisfied his hunger scoring another one in the 6th minute.

"Gagar... Memang gagar defence kitani apabila pihak lawan menjaringkan gol pada minit yang ke sembilan." 18 minutes into the game, the score was 4-3 to AKA. We were behind by one goal when the referee blew his whistle signalling half-time.

The team during half-time looked disturbed and tense. Through the lenses of appointed photographer, Aimi, DRM Sydney remained composed because nothing would break a burning will and spirit to defy the odds. Although, Fadhli's attempt at a hat-trick failed just minutes into the second half, goal number 4 to equalise was by Sulhi in the 26th minute. However, the shot of the day was from our man of the match, our defender numéro uno, Majdi scored the winning goal in the last minutes.

For fun, I asked around and this is what our supporters had to say about tonight's game:

Nisah (1st year): "I feel so marah with the refereee. Stressful lah olehnya. So intense meliat, si Izzah pun jua. Oh, and Zimah malas liat bula sal bula banyak di kedai".

Izzah (1st year): "Tadi kind of intense. Everyone seemed serious. Naik bulu roma saya. Kinda hate the referee...macam inda pandai judge but nasib jua kita menang. Kinda got excited brabisly. Lama dah inda meliat orang main bula since ke aussie ani and everyone was in the mood to win the game".

Darth Airul: *evil aura clearly radiating* "It was intense".

DRM's winning streak lives on and three became four. Next week: DRM Sydney will take on Black Balls, a match certainly worth watching but in the meantime, let DRM savour sweet victory.
